For people who failed to understand what he is asking for from new graduates and others:
    1. Treat AI like a perfect human. If you have 4-5 different AI models - that is equivalent to: you have 4-5 humans that are willing to work under you. Given that, you have a team of 4-5 people (who are extremely smart) and you can use this team to set-up your very own business (or start up), as you already have the best team.
    2. Learn to use AI properly. There will be two kinds of engineers in the future: "the one who can use AI well" & "the one who can't use AI well". And, the ones who are using AI well will be highly productive - that is, a single person would be able to perform the job of 10 different people. Saving the organisation's cost and time.
End note: AI won't take away your job. But, the one who can control and use AI well, definitely will.

SO MUCH GOOD STUFF HERE - but 55:45 MENTIONS a concept that I remember as super-compression algos that were actually fraudulent but sounded not implausible until debunked. I guess somebody was raising IP money on the sly. Which came down to zips of zips of zips etc. But here is a LEGITIMATE SUPER-COMPRESSION ALGO with a SYNTHESIS INTERMEDIARY - referring to Diffusion models - his quote is "We took 100,000 GB of images into a 2 GB file" that consists only of context.. One is actually looking at a number that is infinite potential, that is clear. This has got to be the first case of neural cheese melt in computing science history.

@varun Did you know ? Training the SVD checkpoints required a total of approximately 200,000 A100 80GB hours. The majority of the training occurred on 48 * 8 A100s, while some stages took more/less than that. The resulting CO2 emission is ~19,000 kg CO2 eq., and energy consumed is ~64,000 kWh."
To break that down a bit:
19,000 kg of CO2-that's like taking 16 round-trip flights between New York and London, or the equivalent of 126,667 miles of air travel for one person!
And to offset this carbon footprint? It would take 864 mature trees an entire year to absorb that amount of CO2. 🌳
If it was run from a data center from INDIA, it is equal to 36.8tonnes of Coal energy.

And the founder of a company who makes "AI content" will obviously mislead you about AI and its impact because he needs to make more content!!!
